Volunteering

How would you like to become a Volunteer involved with the day to day running of the Community Centre at Slades Farm Open Space?

Volunteering is an activity where an individual or group provides services  to benefit another person, group or organization.
Volunteering in your local community can be very rewarding and has great health benefits too!

Jack is a volunteer at Ensbury Park Community Centre, here is what Jack says about his time volunteering.

"I have been a volunteer for a couple of years now and have learnt a lot of new skills I never had before. I have learned how to communicate with people within the community, I have trained as a First Aider and as a Fire Warden also as a PAT tester, these are things I never thought I would be able to do. There are many roles in a Community Centre and there is always something for you to do".

Yes, volunteering makes you feel good. Yes, you learn about other people. But there are dozens of other reasons people volunteer too. Your Community Centre seeks new volunteers and trustees. Join us in running the Centre for the benefit of local residents. New ideas welcome. Your skills appreciated.
